I'm surprised you're rating him this low given how 1v9 he was. I don't even like him, but he genuinely could not have done more in either game to win.

Kiin completely carried both games. I think game 1 was won largely because of just better scaling and Lehends running it down, as well as Kiin finding a great TP flank while NS was trying to end. Game 2 was Gnar getting fed thanks to some early ganks from Skarner and Kiin just playing every teamfight perfectly after that. Chovy was okay, I don't really know why he ended up getting PoM, I really don't think he did anything close to as valuable as Kiin. Ruler and Duro were pretty mediocre. I think Ruler in game 1 especially was egregious, in game 2 Kiin and Canyon did a lot to hide Ruler's mistakes but they definitely were there. Overall, pretty bad series from both teams - GenG seems to have won only because NS managed to be even worse. As a Diable hater, I must admit that he was 1v9. GenG is still not back - their win conditions are pretty much just drafting better and scaling at this point.
