1. If the goal of rft.gg is to be the center site for all league related thing the best thing to do would be english only. I don't believe autotranslation can do the trick well enough, what we see on twitter for example is an exception as its twitter. If people's first impression is seeing french everywhere even if there is a translation button I think they will exclude themselves. But appealing to the french side might be good as they are not on reddit already so who knows. 2. Upvote should start at 1 people who experienced reddit i though someone downvoted every post made on a comment section, until I made my own post and saw it started at 0. 3. You can maybe add gifs to comments, I know the reddit doesnt have it activated but I believe it is a good feature of reddit. 4. There should be a mobile app for dpm and rft mixed together, I would for sure use it. For example If I am on the forum I wouldn't know someone answered my comments when on mobile a simple notification would.

also a notification icon like HLTV has so we can track threads we're active in and if someone replied to a comment made by us. Reaction emotes or straight up twitch emotes is also a very good shout.
I don't think it is an issue to let people express themselves in their mother tongue If the auto-translation is done correctly, you would not even know a message was written in french. Furthermore, it is very important not to exclude non english-speaking people if you want the esport to grow Plenty of people don't speak English or not well enough and your suggestion simply exclude them RFT.GG aims to be global and you would not even think about forcing English over Japanese or Thai people for example. Why would it be different for the french?
the global language as communication for modern day esports is english, this is a good opportunity for many to learn said language. Translation will never be fully 100% correct and will miss many nuances and sometimes lead to very bad misunderstandings..
Yeah it is English for now and so people who don't speak English are de facto excluded. Nobody will learn English only for eSports even if yes, if they want to follow eSports, it can be a good way to practice and improve I really don't understand why a lot of people act like having a media ONLY in English is a good thing Yeah it includes more people than another language, it is obviously the best one to include a majority but you cannot honestly think that it would not be better to include everyone. Even if translations are not perfect, they are still better than no translation at all
why would the majority that speaks english go out of their way to translate from french instead of the other way around?
People who dont know english should use auto translate to convert english to their mother language. This is fair for everyone and not the other way around
Why not implement the auto-translate directly on the website then? You cannot imagine asking someone to copy paste their message on another website each time they want to interact, it does not make any sense in terms of UX/UI. Edit: being down voted on that whereas it is basic UX lmfao. I have a PhD in HCI and you guys don't even master first grade knowledge in that area, at least accept when you're wrong
nice flex and crashout lul. HLTV doesnt need auto translate, I feel that this whole auto translate is a french-only problem to be solved. Im out of this website until more western people come and want to co-exist.
I feel like all the french could definitely scare other potential users off yea
