Hongsuo

A year ago, Guo "HongSuo" Bei-Yi was still finding his feet in tier two. At MSI he ran into the best mid laners in the world β€” and walked away with a clear read on the gap. RFT.GG sat down with the Deep Cross Gaming mid after DCG's MSI exit, to talk about synergy over lane, the limits of DCG's all-in early game, and why he still backs them to reach Worlds.

How are you feeling after your first international debut β€” even if it ended 0-3 twice?

Unfortunately we got 3-0'd twice, but I still think we learned a lot at this tournament. We've learned pretty clearly where we stand internationally, and we got to learn a lot from teams outside our region by playing against them.

You emerged pretty late β€” you only really broke through when you joined DCG in 2025. Barely a year later, you're at MSI. How do you process how fast this happened?

I think it's always been my goal β€” not just to play in tier-one competition, but to step onto the international stage. So I think this is what I should have done.
