T1 officially announced on April 23 the arrival of Lee "EasyHoon" Ji-hoon to its coaching staff for the remainder of the 2026 LCK season. The coach will join the main roster from the second round of the championship.

For EasyHoon, it's a homecoming. He first joined SK Telecom T1 in October 2013, as the starting mid for T1 S, the sister team to the T1 K roster that had just won the 2013 World Championship with the young rookie Faker. When Riot limited each organization to one team ahead of 2015, the squads merged, and EasyHoon became Faker's backup in the new SKT T1. He still played his part in a run that ended with LCK Spring and Summer titles and a 3-1 Worlds win over the KOO Tigers. Eleven years on he reunites with Faker, still the team's starter, and with Tom, now acting head coach.

The appointment comes at a tense moment. Tom and coach Mata have held the fort since, but T1 has struggled in the LCK Cup and through the first round of the regular season.
