
G2 Esports are the first EMEA team to secure their spot at the Esports World Cup, after dismantling Karmine Corp 3-0 in the upper bracket final on Saturday evening.
The Samurai cruised through the BO5 (best-of-five), denying KC even a single map and confirming their status as the region's top side heading into the LEC playoffs.
Karmine Corp now drop into the lower bracket final, where they will face on Sunday. MKOI booked their place with earlier in the evening. The Sunday clash is a rematch of the upper bracket series played two days ago, which down the bracket. This time the two sides will meet in a BO5, and the winner will join G2 at the EWC.
