This Friday, G2 Esports have officially announced the contract extension of Steven "Hans Sama" Liv until 2028, tying down their French superstar ADC for two more seasons under the Samurai banner.
Since joining G2 in 2023, Hans Sama has been instrumental in cementing the organization's dominance over the European scene. The Frenchman has built an impressive trophy cabinet across his three years with the team, racking up titles including the 2023 LEC Winter, Summer, and Season Finals, followed by a historic clean sweep of the 2024 LEC season with four consecutive titles, before adding the 2025 LEC Summer to his collection. He has now extended that run into 2026 with both the LEC Versus and the LEC Spring trophies — bringing his personal title count at G2 to double digits.
The timing of the announcement raises a few eyebrows. Hans Sama becomes the second G2 player to commit to the club until 2028, following jungler Rudy "SkewMond. More notably, the news drops less than a month after Karmine Corp announced the long-term — a player who had been heavily linked to G2 throughout the rumor mill.
