Gen.G beat KT Rolster 3–0 on June 13 at the Wonju DB Promy Arena to reach Round 5 of the Road to MSI, where they meet T1 on June 14 for the LCK's second seed — and the last Korean ticket to MSI 2026, through the Play-in stage.
Chovy ran the series. He was at his sharpest in the closing game on Lissandra, landing the engages that opened every fight for his team. was in big form too — his Wukong carried Game 2. won the match where they are strongest: the teamfight, a phase where they look like
KT never developed their game. The shakiness from their win over Dplus KIA carried into the series — and the result underlined a clear gap between the LCK's top three and the rest of the field.
Gen.G's Duro was already looking past KT. In his post-match interview he called the series — "I think we'll take the victory, 3–1".
Asked for a message to the fans, he pointed back to the match's teaser:
I said I'd take our fans to Daejeon — and I want to keep my word.
T1 versus Gen.G usually reads like a grand final. This time it is an elimination match — one of two regular MSI attendees will miss the 2026 edition.
