Edward Gaming have signed support Sun "Jwei" Jun-Wei following his first split with Invictus Gaming. The move comes as IG have overhauled their roster heading into Split 2: Renard has taken over from Rookie in mid lane so far, Meiko replaced Jwei at support, JiaQi arrived from TES to replace Photic, and Breathe stepped in for Soboro in the top lane. The changes appear to be paying off so far — IG are currently 2-0 in Group Ascend.
At EDward Gaming, Jwei's arrival will probably push Parukia to the bench despite two promising opening splits in the LPL. According to reports, the move is motivated by EDG's desire for a stronger voice in in-game communication — something that Jwei is expected to bring after two years playing in the LPL.
