Government-issued commemorative stamps in South Korea have mostly been reserved for historical figures and major national events. This October, one of them will carry Faker and now the public gets to shape it.

Korea Post, South Korea's national postal service, has opened a vote to decide which League of Legends skin appears on the stamp. The survey runs from June 19 to June 25.

The shortlist pulls from Worlds skins and tribute skins tied to Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok. There are nine options in total. Voters pick the three they like best, and the poll comes with a prize draw that hands out the stamps themselves.

The full list spans most of Faker's career:

  • SKT T1 Zed, his 2013 Worlds skin, from his first Summoner's Cup win
  • SKT T1 Ryze (2015) and SKT T1 Syndra (2016)
  • T1 Orianna, the 2023 Worlds skin that marked his return to the title after seven years
  • The three Hall of Legends tribute skins: Risen Legend Ahri, Risen Legend LeBlanc, and Immortalized Legend Ahri
  • T1 Yone, his 2024 Worlds skin, and the Prestige T1 Sylas Finals MVP skin

Korea Post first announced the stamp back in April. According to the agency, commemorative stamps are usually reserved for events or people of national significance, and it is unusual for a living person who is not a president to be featured. The outlet framed the decision as another marker of how far esports, and Faker in particular, have climbed in public standing.

It is not the only recent cultural milestone of its kind. In May, Korea Post confirmed a stamp for BLACKPINK's 10th anniversary.
