The answer changes twice depending on what you agree to count. A team can drop games for months and keep a streak alive, or win every game of a split and hold no record at all. Series and games are two different units, and the distance between the two numbers is wider than it looks.

Everything below counts series, not games. An LCK match is a best-of-three and a playoff match a best-of-five, so a run of this kind survives individual defeats — a team only breaks the streak when it loses the series itself.

The record: Gen.G 27 series

Gen.G won 27 consecutive best-of series in 2025. Their last defeat came in the LCK Cup final against Hanwha Life Esports on 23 February. The 27th win arrived on 23 July, against the same opponent, 150 days later.

The run took in 21 best-of-threes and six best-of-fives, across LCK Round 1-2,, the Esports World Cup and LCK Round 3-5. Not one of the 27 was a best-of-one. That is the detail that separates this streak from the ones before it, because a team on a best-of-one run needs one bad draft to end it, and Gen.G had to be beaten twice or three times in a night, by every opponent they faced, for five months. Sixty games went their way at the very minimum.
