LYON and Cho "Castle" Hyeon-seong have parted ways, roughly two months after the Korean toplaner joined the LCS organisation from Disguised. The news comes few days before LYON are set to begin their MSI 2026 campaign.
The Team's X account confirmed the departure, thanking Castle for his time with the team and wishing him success in his next project.
LYON's COO and co-founder Carlos "Biblos" Gibran followed up to clarify the circumstances, stating that the exit was not an organisational decision but Castle's own initiative. He added that LYON respected the choice and had worked to support Castle's transition to the next step in his career, thanking him for his professionalism throughout the process.
Castle joined LYON on 4 May, signed as a direct competitor to Niship "Dhokla" Doshi in a six-man top-lane rotation following a slump that included a disappointing Esports World Cup Qualifier exit. He started three official LCS games during his time with the team — one against Team Liquid, two against — . No destination for Castle has been announced yet.
