Zamudo is back

After months of uncertainty, NRG has officially announced Zamudo's return to the toplaner position for the North American Challengers League 2026 season. A comeback that is far from trivial, given how riddled the player's journey has been with administrative hurdles.

Initially expected on LYON's LCS roster, Frankie "Zamudo" Lin was unable to be fielded in the starting lineup due to visa issues. A setback that forced the organization to turn to Niship "Dhokla" Doshi as a temporary replacement. But what was meant to be temporary became permanent: Dhokla was promoted to the starting roster midway through the split.

Despite these setbacks, NRG never gave up on their player and says they are working hand in hand with their legal team to strengthen his next visa application, scheduled for the end of the year. A bet on the future that speaks volumes about the trust placed in the Canadian toplaner.
