NAVI MAYNTER EMPRYOS CHANGE

The Greek toplaner's name showed up on GCD in Natus Vincere's roster for this LEC Summer Split. Behind that low-key move lies a scenario that fans following Maynter know all too well: administrative uncertainty. A free player at the right moment and an organization that had to find a last-minute replacement — so what happened?

An unexpected line on the roster sheet

Seeing Panagiotis "Empyros" Tantis appear in NAVI's roster came as a surprise. Six months earlier, the Greek was making his LEC debut in Fnatic colours, before being dropped from the starting five and then officially released, with the British organization opting for South Korean Soboro for the Summer Split. A downward trajectory that hardly suggested an immediate bounce-back at a direct competitor.

Except this was neither a transfer nor a permanent change of starter. Empyros was registered for a period limited to the first week of competition. A precautionary measure.

Maynter and the uncertainty around the restart

To understand it: after a Spring regular season that ended with a playoff berth, NAVI used the break to give its players time off. Volodymyr "" Sorokin, for his part, went home to Ukraine.
