JD Gaming have announced the signing of jungler Fang "xiaofang" Zhe-yu. He spent last year with LNG Esports and came through OMG before that. The organisation have confirmed he joins the active roster, where remains under contract despite the arrival.
The move lands with JDG at 4-4 in the Ascend group, a record that falls well short of what the club managed in Split 1, when they finished in the top two. xiaofang is expected to take the starting spot for now, with the club looking for a reaction over the second half of the split.
His signing raises the question of how much longer the JunJia–HongQ axis survives. The two arrived together after their 2025 season as CFO's mid-jungle pairing, and their partnership has been one of the fixed points of the JDG roster since. Splitting the duo would mark a clear break from the structure the team built around them.
xiaofang had also drawn interest from Weibo Gaming in recent days, before they settled on the Xiaohao trade instead.
