Top Esports have opened an investigation into jungler Yang "naiyou" Zi-Jian following what the organization described as "abnormal performance" during their match against Weibo Gaming on the evening of March 2.
In a statement posted on Weibo on March 6, TES said the club flagged the situation to the league immediately after the first day of competition. Following an internal investigation, naiyou is suspected of having committed serious violations of the club's internal rules and professional ethics, as well as conduct that may have compromised competitive integrity.
TES confirmed they have handed all available evidence to the league's disciplinary department, which has formally opened its own investigation. The club said a final ruling will be announced once the inquiry is complete.
Among the details that raised suspicion, several observers pointed out that Naiyou built primarily magic resistance items in game five despite Jinx and Yorick being the opposing team's main threats — an itemization choice that made little sense given the circumstances.
