So close. Vitality pushed MKOI to a fifth game — one they looked to have won two or three times — before falling 3-2 and bowing out of the LEC Summer playoffs, one BO5 away from Worlds and the weekend in Nice. Head coach Patrick "Pad" Suckow-Breum sat down with RFT.GG for an honest debrief: the rollercoaster game five, the drafts, breaking the team's BO5 curse, and the pride and frustration of a first year as head coach that ended just short.

What are your first thoughts after the series?

Sadness. Game five was a bit of a rollercoaster that looked won two or three times. I was super happy with how we bounced back after game one and played this series — props to MKOI for dragging us into the mud in game four and then dragging themselves out of the mud in game five.

But going out always feels like complete sh*t. So I feel like sh*t.
