EWC qualfier

On April 28, the LEC enters a format Europe has never run before. Twelve teams, a double-elimination bracket, two tickets to the Esports World Cup. The tournament runs until May 17, alongside the Spring Split. Here's what you need to know to follow it.

A new fixture on the European calendar

For its third year in the EWC program, League of Legends gets a brand new regional qualifier in EMEA. The event was announced between the Versus and the Spring Split. Its only purpose: to name the two teams that will represent the region in Riyadh, from July 15 to 19.

The EMEA Masters Winter acted as the entry point for the ERLs. Solary, the tournament's winner, and Galions secured their slots. They join the ten LEC franchises to complete the 12-team bracket.

The format, step by step

The tournament runs as a double-elimination bracket spread over three weeks, from April 28 to May 17. All teams start in the upper bracket, but not at the same round.
