As we reported a few days ago, Team Vitality is reportedly closing in on a Paris Volley takeover. RMC Sport has now lifted the lid on the deal, with a key date, precise figures and a first departure inside the club. For an organisation that built its reputation on League of Legends and Counter-Strike, this is uncharted territory. Here's what you need to know.
A duo, with a former volleyball player at the helm
Vitality isn't going it alone, and that makes sense: buying a traditional sports club has nothing to do with signing a roster. According to RMC Sport, the esports organisation, represented by Fabien "Neo" Devide, has teamed up with Athvance Capital, a European sports investment fund launched in January 2026 by Danny Menken (ex-Eurosport, Eleven Sports) and Karim Ben Rejeb (ex-JP Morgan). In short: Vitality brings the brand, the content and the audience; Athvance brings the capital and the pro sports expertise.
