The League of Legends Game Changers: Rising are back. The official EMEA League of Legends competition open to anyone identifying as a woman will run from May to October 2026, with a kickoff on May 29-30-31.
The tournament will be operated by N.E.O (New Esports Org), the newly created French company that has taken over the role of tournament organizer. N.E.O are also in charge of the EMEA Masters and EVO France.
The new edition will feature a reimagined format. Stages will be spread across several months, offering players a more consistent and meaningful competitive experience throughout the year. At every stage, the top-performing teams will earn qualification points building toward the overall standings.
Six teams will ultimately punch their ticket for the Playoffs in October. Additional squads will also be invited from existing national inclusive competitions (most likely the Equal Esports Cup and the Nova Series), as part of Riot's effort to connect the LGC with the various circuits across the region.
Several organizations have already laid the groundwork for the season ahead. Mental Rush have unveiled an ambitious roster built under coach Tim "Unkraut" Blume, while SK Gaming have just revealed the new lineup of their historic Avarosa project. Last year, Eterna lifted the trophy at the end of a fiercely contested first edition.
Beyond competition, the LGC stands as a project aimed at strengthening pathways for women in EMEA esports. Riot have reiterated their ambition to build an open and inclusive ecosystem, ensuring that the next generation of top players will be welcomed and recognized at the highest level.
