Gen.G dismantled BNK FearX 3-0 in the Grand Final of the LCK Cup 2026 at Kai Tak Arena in Hong Kong on Sunday, capping off a near-perfect tournament run and adding yet another trophy to what is fast becoming the most decorated cabinet in modern LCK history.

A dominant sweep in front of a roaring Hong Kong crowd

The Tiger Nation arrived on stage as heavy favorites, and they left no room for ambiguity. Across three games, BNK FearX managed a combined total of just fifteen kills... Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk alone had eighteen. Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu was named Finals MVP after a commanding performance throughout the series, further cementing his resurgence at the start of the 2026 season.

The result means Gen.G did not lose a single series across the entire LCK Cup. From the group stage through playoffs and into the Grand Final, they dropped only two games — one to BFX and one to DK — on their way to the title. It is the kind of dominance that has become almost routine for this organization.

Another trophy for Chovy's ever-growing collection

For Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon, the LCK Cup adds to a résumé that now includes six LCK titles (five LCK, one LCK Cup), two MSI championships, and an Esports World Cup crown. The mid laner, who turns 25 on March 3, was typically understated in the post-match press conference. Asked about the value of keeping the same roster — both Gen.G and BNK FearX retained their lineups from 2025, and both reached the final — Chovy acknowledged the advantage more than he expected. "I noticed before the match that we were the two teams that kept our rosters," he said. "I think maintaining the same roster has more advantages than I initially thought."

Chovy also turned heads with a rare Annie pick in game three, a selection he explained as purely pragmatic. With Azir given away and mid lane pushed to second rotation, he considered it "the strongest available option in context". He went on to top the damage charts of the game with 35.3K — a reminder that Gen.G's drafting this year is as clinical as their execution.
