
Legendary Chinese ADC Jian "Uzi" Zi-Hao has officially announced the Uzi Cup, a self-funded League of Legends tournament featuring a total prize pool of 1,000,000 RMB (approximately $145,000 USD).
The competition runs from March 23 to April 3. Registrations open on March 9, followed by open qualifiers from March 14 to 19 and a draft night on March 20 to determine the final rosters.
According to LPL Insider, the tournament will follow the Fearless Draft ruleset throughout. Early stages will be played in BO1s, with quarterfinals and semifinals in BO3 and the Grand Final in a BO5.
The prize pool breakdown is heavily top-weighted: 660,000 RMB for the champion, 100,000 for the runner-up, 80,000 for third place, and 20,000 each for 4th through 6th. An additional 50,000 RMB is awarded to the open qualifier winner, and 50,000 RMB goes to the Best Rookie. The entire prize pool is personally funded by Uzi.
